Fuel Injector Assembly for Subaru Engines
This fuel injector unit is a key part of the petrol delivery system. It is needed to meter the exact amount of fuel and spray it into the intake port/cylinder area at the right time. When the injector is healthy, the engine starts easier, idles smoother, and keeps fuel economy and emissions under control ?
How This Injector Works
Inside the body is a fast-acting solenoid valve. The ECU sends an electrical pulse, the valve opens for milliseconds, and pressurized fuel is atomized through the nozzle into a fine mist. That mist mixes with air for clean, strong combustion. The internal filter screen helps stop tiny debris from reaching the pintle and spray holes.
Signs of a Bad Injector & What Can Happen
If it sticks, clogs, or leaks, you may get misfires, rough idle, fuel smell, hard starting, hesitation, or poor MPG ? A leaking unit can wash oil off cylinder walls, damage spark plugs and catalytic converter, and in severe cases cause engine knock from a lean cylinder. Replace a faulty injector early to protect the engine and restore proper power.
