Fuel Injector Sub-Assembly for Subaru Engines 💉
This component is a key part of the fuel delivery system. It is needed to spray the exact amount of fuel into the engine at the right time, so the air-fuel mix burns clean and makes steady power. When the injector works correctly, the engine starts easier, idles smoother, and fuel economy stays on target.
How it works ⚙️
Inside the unit is a fast electric valve (solenoid). The ECU sends a pulse, the valve opens for milliseconds, and pressurized fuel is atomized through the nozzle into a fine mist. The internal filter and seals help keep flow stable and prevent leaks around the rail and intake area.
If it fails 🚨
A weak, clogged, or leaking injector can cause misfires, rough idle, hesitation, hard starting, fuel smell, black smoke, poor MPG, or even catalyst damage from unburned fuel. In severe cases it may wash cylinder walls, thinning oil and speeding up engine wear.
