Precision Fuel Injector for Subaru Boxer Engines
Why it’s needed ⛽
This injector meters gasoline into the intake port with exact timing and flow. It keeps cold starts clean, idle smooth, throttle response sharp, and emissions low. Correct atomization is critical for turbo and non‑turbo Subaru setups, protecting the engine and catalytic converter while maintaining OEM performance and economy.
How it works ⚙️
The ECU sends a pulse to a solenoid coil, lifting a needle to spray fuel through a multi‑hole nozzle. Calibrated flow and spray pattern match Subaru boxer ports, ensuring even burn across cylinders. Viton O‑rings seal to the rail and manifold; proper resistance and latency keep fueling precise under load and boost.
When it fails — symptoms and risks ⚠️
Hard start, rough idle, misfire, poor mpg, fuel smell, black smoke, or diluted engine oil. A stuck‑lean unit can cause detonation on boost; a leaking one can flood a cylinder, foul plugs, or damage the catalyst. Expect MIL/Check Engine with P02xx codes.
Tech tips ️
Replace upper/lower seals, lube O‑rings, check rail pressure, and use new clips. Verify injector balance and clear trims after install. Ultrasonic cleaning may help deposits; electrical or leaking injectors must be replaced.
