Radiator Expansion Reservoir for reliable cooling

This coolant overflow bottle keeps the engine at a safe temperature by holding extra antifreeze as it expands with heat. It stabilizes system pressure, stores excess fluid, and returns it back to the radiator when the engine cools. Clear level marks make checks easy, and the molded neck ensures a tight seal with the pressure cap for long life.

Why it’s needed ❄️

Without a healthy reservoir, coolant has no safe place to expand. The result can be overheating, steam pockets, and unstable temperatures—bad news for head gaskets and hoses.

How it works

As coolant heats up, it flows from the radiator into the tank. When the engine cools, vacuum draws fluid back, keeping the system full and air-free. Proper pressure raises the boiling point for efficient cooling.

When it fails ⚠️

Cracks, warped cap seat, or brittle fittings cause leaks, low coolant, weak cabin heat, warning lights, and possible engine damage. Replace at first signs of stains or odors.

Install tips ️

Work on a cold engine, swap hoses and cap, bleed air, and refill with the correct premix. Inspect clamps and the pressure cap.
