Why you need it

How it works
Fuel enters a swirl chamber; heavy water drops to the bowl by gravity. A fine element screens particles. Many setups use a water sensor to warn the driver. Open the drain cock to purge water; clear bowl lets you see what you remove. Flow then continues to the main filter.
