Fuel Temperature/Heater Control Sensor for Nissan Diesel β½
This precision sensor monitors fuel temperature and controls the filter-head heater/advance logic. It keeps diesel at the right viscosity for smooth starts, stable idle, and clean combustion. Built for harsh vibration and heat, it restores factory behavior on tough-duty 4x4s and buses.
Why this part is needed
Cold fuel is thick and hard to atomize. The sensor signals the control circuit to warm the fuel and adjust injection timing. Result: easier cold starts, better throttle response, and reduced smoke. It also protects the pump by preventing over-fueling in low temperatures.
How it works
Mounted on the filter housing/pump body, the thermistor changes resistance with temperature. The ECU or heater relay reads that value and switches the fuel heater and timing advance accordingly. Plug-and-play connector, sealed body, precise curve ensures OEM-calibrated control.
What happens if itβs broken
Hard starts βοΈ, rough idle, high consumption, black/white smoke, sluggish power, and diesel knock. Heater may run nonstop (battery drain) or never engage (waxing/air locks). Long term, the injection pump and injectors can suffer.
