Radiator Pressure Cap for Toyota Cooling System ❄️

Keep engine temperature steady with a factory-grade coolant pressure cap. This small but critical piece locks onto the radiator filler neck, seals the system, and holds the correct pressure so coolant boils later, flows properly, and the heater works on time. A healthy cap prevents hot spots, vapor pockets, and coolant loss β€” key to long engine life and reliable performance.

Why this part is needed

Modern engines rely on a sealed, pressurized cooling loop. The cap sets the system’s pressure (about 1.1 bar on many Toyota setups), raising the boiling point and routing excess coolant to the overflow bottle. It also keeps outside air from entering, protecting the water pump and alloy components.

How it works

A spring-loaded valve holds pressure while a secondary vacuum valve pulls coolant back from the reservoir as the engine cools. The molded rubber gasket ensures a tight seal; the metal body resists corrosion and repeated heat cycles.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Overheating, coolant smell or stains, collapsed hoses after cooldown, weak cabin heat, or air in the system. Long term, it can warp the head or damage the radiator. Replace at the first sign of a weak spring, cracked seal, or rusty seat.
