Engine Cooling Fan Blade for Toyota Heavy-Duty Platforms

Why this part is needed

This radiator fan blade pulls fresh air through the radiator to keep coolant temperatures in the safe zone. It’s essential during slow traffic, towing, hill climbs, and hot weather. A healthy fan keeps engine power stable, protects the head gasket, and supports strong A/C performance at idle.

How it works βš™οΈ

Mounted on the water pump hub and usually driven through a viscous clutch, the fan spins with engine speed. Its aerodynamic blades create a controlled airflow that carries heat away from the radiator, condenser, and transmission cooler. The clutch modulates speed based on temperature, so airflow increases when the engine gets hot.

What happens if it fails

Cracked or warped blades cause vibration, belt stress, and shroud damage. If airflow drops, expect overheating, weak A/C at idle, coolant boil-over, or even cylinder head warpage. Loud roaring, wobble, or rising temp gauge are warning signs. Replace at first crack, missing blade, or clutch oil leak.
