High‑temperature exhaust sensor for Mitsubishi SUVs and pickups ??️

This sensor tracks exhaust gas heat so the engine computer can protect the turbocharger and the particulate filter, keep fuel mix right, and maintain power. It is built to handle extreme heat and vibration found in tough off‑road and towing use.

Why you need it ✅

Correct exhaust temperature data lets the ECU control EGR, fuel, and DPF regeneration. That means stable performance, lower emissions, better economy, and longer turbo/DPF life. It prevents overheat damage during climbs, heavy loads, or hot climates.

How it works

The probe sits in the exhaust stream and changes its electrical signal as temperature rises. The ECU reads this signal in real time to adjust fueling and trigger DPF burn‑off cycles. A sealed connector and heat‑resistant lead keep the reading accurate.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

Expect check‑engine light, limp mode, poor power, high fuel use, rough regeneration, strong exhaust smell, and risk of cracked DPF, warped manifold, or turbo failure. Replace promptly. When installing, free the old probe with penetrant, avoid twisting the lead, fit a new seal, add high‑temp anti‑seize, and tighten to factory spec.
