This precision VVT-i cam timing controller keeps your Toyota engine smooth, torquey, and efficient. How it works
The ECU sends a PWM signal to a solenoid. The plunger opens precise oil galleries, feeding pressurized oil into the cam sprocket actuator. An integrated strainer filters debris; O-ring and body seals keep pressure stable for fast, repeatable response.

Symptoms include rough idle, sluggish acceleration, higher fuel use, rattle on start, and codes like P0010βP0014. Prolonged use can stress the chain, cause cam/crank correlation faults, and harm the catalytic converter.
