This component sits in the oil pan and is the engine’s first line of defense. It is needed to filter debris before oil reaches the pump, keeping bearings, camshafts, and timing parts properly lubricated. Clean oil flow means stable oil pressure and a longer engine life.

The mesh screen draws oil through a protected pickup point. As the pump pulls oil upward, the strainer catches sludge, silicone bits, gasket flakes, and metal particles. Its shape and mounting keep the pickup at the right depth so the pump doesn’t suck air during braking or off-road angles.
