This exhaust-side engine valve is a critical internal part that helps your Toyota engine breathe correctly. It is needed to release burnt gases from the combustion chamber after each power stroke, keeping temperatures stable and power consistent. How It Works
The valve rides in the cylinder head and moves up and down with the valve train (camshaft, lifter/bucket, and spring). When the cam lobe pushes it open, hot exhaust gases exit into the exhaust port. When it closes, its face must seal tightly against the valve seat to hold compression and prevent blow-by. Proper seating also transfers heat from the valve to the head, protecting it from burning ?
