OEM Timing Chain Tensioner for Toyota Engines
Keep valve timing precise and quiet. This unit presses the chain guide to remove slack, so your engine starts smooth, pulls strong, and stays efficient. It is the right fix for rattle at start-up, drifting timing, or a stretched chain that the old tensioner can no longer control.
How it works βοΈ
Inside is a hardened plunger moved by engine oil pressure. As oil fills the body, the plunger advances and holds the chain steady. A step ratchet and check valve prevent the plunger from backing off when oil pressure drops. The result is constant tension at idle, cruise, and high RPM.
Why you need it
Seals age, springs tire, and the chain wears. Slack creates noise and timing drift. That hurts fuel economy and power. A fresh unit restores stable timing, reduces wear on guides and sprockets, and protects the chain from shock loads.

Symptoms include loud chain rattle (especially cold), cam/crank correlation codes, rough idle, poor response, and metal debris in oil. In severe cases the chain can jump teeth, causing misfire and potentially serious internal engine damage. Replace at the first signs of noise.
