Why you need it

How it works
Inside is a hardened body, spring-loaded plunger, and a tiny check valve. Engine oil fills the chamber, the plunger extends, and lash goes to near zero. On lift, the check ball seals so it acts like a solid tappet; on the base circle, it bleeds and refills to follow heat growth and wear. 🔧
