Engine Cooling Fan Clutch for Mitsubishi Pickup/SUV ?
This temperature-controlled fan drive keeps your engine at the right operating range. When coolant and radiator air get hot, it engages the fan to pull strong airflow. When cool, it freewheels to save power and fuel, reduce noise, and protect belts. Ideal for daily use, towing, and off-road where airflow at low speed matters ❄️?.
How it works
A thermostatic bimetal spring reacts to radiator heat, opening an internal valve. Silicone fluid transfers torque from the pulley hub to the fan, increasing fan speed as temperature rises. Once temperature drops, the valve closes, fluid shears, and the fan slows for efficient cruising.
If the clutch fails
Stuck open (freewheeling): overheating at idle/traffic, weak A/C at stops, coolant boil-over. Stuck locked: loud roar, poor fuel economy, slow warm-up, premature belt and bearing wear. Intermittent slip: fluctuating temperature and reduced towing confidence.
Fit and service tips
Direct bolt-on with OE-spec dimensions, balanced blades interface, sealed high-temp bearings, and durable aluminum body. Inspect shroud, fan blades, and serpentine belt; torque fasteners evenly; verify no radiator obstruction after install.
