Engine Cooling Fan Clutch for Mitsubishi SUVs & Pickups

Why this part is needed ️

This fan clutch keeps engine temperature stable by engaging the radiator fan only when heat rises. It prevents overheating in traffic, supports towing and off‑road use, protects head gasket and radiator, and reduces noise and fuel use when cooling demand is low.

How it works ❄️

A bi‑metal thermostatic spring senses hot air from the radiator. As temperature increases, it opens an internal valve so silicone fluid flows between chambers, coupling the fan to the drive hub. The fan then spins faster to move more air. When temperatures drop, fluid shear is reduced and the fan freewheels, cutting drag.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

  • Overheat at idle or slow climbs, coolant boil, warning light
  • Poor A/C cooling at stops
  • Constant loud fan roar, slow warm‑up, higher fuel use (locked clutch)
  • Play in hub, oily dust, or silicone leak around the housing

Replace promptly if you see wobble, leaks, or temperature swings. A healthy unit restores quiet cooling and protects your engine.
