Engine Intake Valve for Nissan
This intake-side engine valve is a key internal part that controls how fresh air (and fuel mix on some setups) enters the combustion chamber. Itβs needed to keep compression stable, power smooth, and fuel economy where it should be. A healthy valve also helps the engine start easier and idle cleaner β
How This Valve Works βοΈ
The camshaft opens the valve at the correct timing, and the valve spring snaps it closed to seal the cylinder. When it closes, it must sit perfectly on its valve seat to hold compression and prevent backflow. Heat-resistant steel construction handles high RPM cycles and constant temperature changes.
If the Valve Is Worn or Damaged ?
A bent or burnt valve can cause misfires, rough idle, low compression, hard starting, loss of power, and increased fuel use. In severe cases you may get popping through the intake, a flashing check engine light, and possible piston-to-valve contact that can lead to major engine damage.
