Why this part is needed
This piston and floating pin restore proper compression, power, and smooth running. It seals the combustion chamber, guides the rings, controls oil on the cylinder wall, and delivers the burn force to the connecting rod. Replacing worn or scored pistons improves starting, reduces oil consumption, and brings back quiet, stable idle.
How it works
The crown faces the combustion flame, ring grooves hold compression and oil-control rings, and the coated skirt keeps friction low. The wrist pin links piston to the rod, allowing precise pivot under high load. Correct clearances and heat-treated alloy manage expansion, pressure, and heat cycles for long life .
If the piston is damaged
Expect hard starts, low compression, blue smoke, power loss, misfire, and blowβby. Oil usage rises, exhaust smells oily, and piston slap may appear on cold start. Severe failure can score the bore, melt the crown, bend the rod, or seize the engine β οΈ. Always inspect cylinder size, hone as required, and set ring end-gaps.
Build & install notes
CNC-machined, balanced, and supplied with pin and clips. Match orientation marks, lubricate on assembly, and torque to spec. Best results with new rings and fresh gaskets β .
