    This precision piston assembly restores compression, power, and clean running in demanding Toyota engines. It seals the combustion chamber, guides the connecting rod, and controls oil on every stroke. Ideal when a Land Cruiser shows oil burning, piston slap, or low compression after hard towing or off‑road use.

    How it works ️

    The lightweight aluminum crown travels in the bore, turning combustion force into crank rotation. A hardened wrist pin links piston to con rod, floating smoothly to reduce friction. Ring grooves carry compression and oil rings: the top rings trap pressure for torque; the oil ring scrapes excess lubricant and returns it to the sump.

    What happens if it’s damaged ⚠️

    Worn skirts or rings cause blow‑by, blue smoke, rough idle, and higher fuel use. A loose or scored pin creates knock, overheats the bore, and can seize. Left unchecked, rings break, the cylinder scuffs, and the engine may need a full rebuild.

    Tech notes and benefits

    Measure bore, hone lightly, set ring end gaps, align ring positions, orient crown mark forward, install new circlips, lube pin, and torque to spec. Coated skirts and a hardened pin cut friction and noise. Expect quicker starts, steadier idle, stronger pull, and cleaner exhaust.
