Engine Coolant Control Valve (OEM 1305A190) for Mitsubishi

Why this part is needed ❄️

This valve keeps your engine at the correct working temperature, speeding up warm-up and holding a stable range under load. That means less wear, better fuel economy, steady idle, strong heater performance, and clean emissions. Without proper regulation, coolant either circulates too soon or too late, risking efficiency and engine health.

How it works βš™οΈ

Inside is a wax charge that expands near its set temp, pushing a plunger to open flow to the radiator. When coolant cools, a spring closes the passage, maintaining balance through the bypass. The bleed (jiggle) valve helps purge air during filling. OE-grade materials ensure precise opening, corrosion resistance, and correct sealing against the housing.

What happens if it’s broken

Stuck open: slow warm-up, high fuel use, weak cabin heat, possible P0128, carbon buildup. Stuck closed: rapid overheating, boiling coolant, warped head, blown gasket. Erratic action: temp swings, fan overactivity, coolant loss. Replace with a new gasket, orient the bleed pin up, refill with the right mix, and bleed air properly.
