Connecting Rod Bearing for Toyota Engines
This precision big-end shell keeps the con-rod running true on the crankshaft. It is needed to hold correct oil clearance, reduce friction, and protect journals on every power stroke. Install it during engine rebuilds, when curing low oil pressure, or after wear from dirty oil or overheating.

Two half shells seat in the rod and cap. A steel back supports a soft tri-metal overlay that forms a hydrodynamic oil film. Under load, the oil wedge lifts the rod off the crank journal so metal does not touch metal. Locating tangs and oil holes keep the shell aligned and fed.
