    Engine Oil Pressure Switch for Mitsubishi – precise protection ️

    This OEM-style oil pressure switch keeps your engine safe by watching live oil pressure and telling the cluster/ECU when it’s too low. It lights the red oil lamp early, so you can stop before damage happens. Ideal for preventive maintenance and exact replacement.

    Why this part is needed

    Oil is your engine’s lifeblood. If pressure drops, bearings, cams, and turbo (if fitted) can fail fast. This switch gives instant warning, preventing costly repairs and extending engine life.

    How it works

    The unit threads into the block or oil gallery. Inside, a spring-loaded contact changes state with pressure. At key-on/zero pressure the circuit is closed (lamp ON). When the pump builds pressure, it opens the circuit (lamp OFF). The ECU/cluster reads this simple, reliable signal.

    When the switch is bad ⚠️

    Oil light stuck ON or flickering, false alarms after warm-up, oily seepage at the terminal, or no warning during real pressure loss. Ignoring faults risks silent lubrication failure and severe engine damage.

    Tech notes

    Use new seal, tighten to spec, and verify wiring is clean and dry. Always confirm true oil pressure with a gauge if the light stays on.
