How it works ⚙️
A resilient steel blade with clear MIN/MAX marks slides into the dip tube and stops at a calibrated shoulder. Pull it out and read the oil film: below MIN means add oil, above MAX means drain. The anti-corrosion finish and heat-resistant handle ensure durable, repeatable readings.
If it’s damaged or missing ⚠️
Wrong readings lead to low oil pressure, knocking, cam and turbo damage. Overfill causes foaming, smoke, leaks, and catalytic fouling. A broken seal or shortened stick can mislead you by 0.5–1.0L—serious risk on long trips or towing.
Quality and install tips
Direct-fit length and stopper, smooth blade edges, easy-grip handle. Check on level ground, engine off, after 3–5 minutes. Wipe, insert fully, read, repeat. Replace tube O-ring if loose.
