How it works
A spring-steel blade with MIN/MAX marks slides into the sump via the guide tube. After the engine rests a few minutes, the oil film on the blade shows the true level. The calibrated marks match your engine’s capacity for accurate readings.

Bent blade, faded marks, cracked handle, or a worn O‑ring give false readings, cause oil mist leaks, and can lead to underfill (oil starvation) or overfill (aeration, seal stress). Hard insertion or rust means it’s time to replace.
