Keep your engine healthy with a reliable oil temperature control unit. This compact cooler stabilizes oil heat under city traffic, towing, or spirited driving. By holding safe viscosity, it protects bearings, turbocharger, and VVT components, lowers oxidation, and helps the oil last longer. A stable oil film means quieter operation and stronger protection at high load.
Why you need it ️
Hot oil thins fast. Without proper cooling, pressure drops, clearances widen, and wear speeds up. This unit keeps temps in the sweet spot, improving lubrication, sealing, and fuel efficiency. It’s a smart upgrade when refreshing the lubrication system or solving heat-soak issues.
How it works ️
An aluminum plate-style heat exchanger bolts to the filter housing. Engine oil flows through one side; engine coolant flows through the other side in opposite direction. Heat moves from oil to coolant, then out through the radiator. Tight internal plates maximize surface area, giving quick, stable temperature control.
What if it fails ⚠️
External leak: oil smell, spots, low level. Internal crack: oil in coolant or “milky” oil, overheating, head-gasket-like symptoms. Clogged core: high oil temp, flickering oil light, noisy valvetrain, turbo wear. Keep driving like this and you risk bearing damage and engine seizure.
Pro tips
Replace O-rings/gaskets, flush coolant, change oil and filter, and torque fasteners to spec. After install, warm up and check for cross-contamination and leaks.
