LH Engine Mount Insulator for Transverse Toyota Setups

Why you need it

This left-hand mount keeps a sideways-mounted engine steady, filtering harsh vibration and road shock. It protects the body, dashboard, exhaust flex, and driveline from stress, giving smooth idle and quiet cabin. It also helps keep axle angles correct and reduces torque shake on take-off.

How it works

A bonded rubber (often fluid-filled) core sits between two steel plates. One side bolts to the chassis/subframe, the other to the engine bracket. The rubber isolates high-frequency buzz while allowing controlled movement under load. Proper durometer and voids inside the mount tune damping for compact FWD Toyotas.

If it’s worn or broken

Expect strong vibration at idle, knocks during start/shift, excessive engine rock, and faster wear of CV joints and hoses. You may feel steering shudder and hear clunks over bumps. Long-term driving with a failed mount can crack exhaust components and stress other mounts.
