    Why you need it ️

    This mount supports engine weight and isolates shake from the cabin. It keeps the powertrain aligned, reduces noise, and protects exhaust joints, hoses, and the radiator. A healthy mount means smoother idle, cleaner shifts, and longer life for neighboring mounts.

    How it works ⚙️

    A steel bracket is bonded to an elastomer core (often dual‑durometer). The rubber works in shear and compression to absorb engine pulse and road shocks. Some versions are fluid-damped for extra control. Correct geometry lets the engine move slightly without metal‑to‑metal contact.

    What happens if it’s bad ⚠️

    Expect harsh vibration at idle, thump on take‑off, steering shudder, and misaligned driveline. You may see cracked rubber, leaking fluid (hydraulic type), or a sagging engine. Continued use can fracture exhaust flex, stress hoses, and wear side/rear mounts prematurely.

    Tech tips
