Engine Piston Oil Jet Check Valve for Mitsubishi

This precision valve keeps piston undersides cooled and lubricated while preserving vital oil pressure. It feeds the piston-cooling jets only when pressure is right, prevents drain-back after shutdown, and supports quiet starts and long engine life. Perfect for hard‑working SUVs and pickups.

Why you need it ️

Under heavy load, piston crowns run extremely hot. Without controlled spray, rings can glaze, skirts can wear, and knock risk rises. This valve delivers targeted oil flow at revs while maintaining gallery pressure at idle, protecting bearings, cams, and timing components.

How it works

Seated in the block gallery, a spring‑loaded plunger seals a tiny orifice. Below a set threshold it stays closed; once pressure increases, it opens and meters oil to nozzles aimed at the piston crown and pin. Lift off the throttle, and it closes, holding oil in the passages for the next start.

What if it breaks ⚠️

Symptoms include cold‑start rattle, oil light at idle, noisy lifters, rising oil temps, and blue smoke. Stuck open: pressure bleed, bearing wear, aeration. Stuck closed: piston scuffing, ring sticking, possible seizure. Replace in sets, clean galleries, renew seals/O‑rings, torque to spec, and prime the system with fresh oil and filter.
