Crankshaft Front Pulley (Harmonic Damper) ⚙️
This OE-grade front pulley is the engine’s drive hub and vibration damper in one. It bolts to the crank nose and turns the accessory belts for the alternator, water pump, power steering, and A/C. Inside is a bonded rubber isolator that absorbs torsional twist from the Subaru boxer engine, keeping rotation smooth, quiet, and safe for bearings and belts.

How it works ️
A steel hub keys to the crank. A damper ring, bonded with high-temp rubber, flexes to cancel harmonic pulses. Multi-rib grooves deliver grip to the belt without slip or noise.
What happens if it’s broken ⚠️
Signs include pulley wobble, belt squeal, charging loss, overheating, heavy steering, or A/C weakness. A cracked or delaminated rubber ring can let the outer ring slip, throwing belts and damaging the keyway or sensors. In severe cases the ring separates and the belt comes off, risking roadside breakdown.
