This rubber-and-metal insulator is used in the engine mounting system to reduce vibration and harsh noise that can travel from the engine to the cabin. How It Works ⚙️
The insulator absorbs engine movement using a tuned rubber compound bonded to a rigid bracket. It acts like a buffer: it supports weight, limits excessive engine roll, and damps high-frequency vibration. This helps maintain correct alignment of mounts, exhaust joints, and driveline angles.
What Happens If It’s Worn or Broken
