Engine Crankcase Vent Hose for Toyota V8

This breather hose is a key part of the PCV system. It routes blow‑by gases from the valve cover back to the intake, so the engine burns vapors instead of venting them. That keeps emissions low, oil clean, and crankcase pressure stable. A fresh, oil‑resistant hose preserves idle quality and protects sensors from oily mist.

How it works

Under intake vacuum, the PCV valve meters flow. This molded hose provides the sealed path between the cover and intake duct. It resists heat, oil, and ozone, and seals with spring clamps. The result is controlled airflow, steady fuel trims, and a dry, clean air path.

What happens if it’s damaged ⚠️

  • Vacuum leak causing rough idle and hesitation
  • Lean codes (P0171/P0174) and CEL
  • Oil smell, moisture in breather area, sludge risk
  • Whistling or hissing noises under throttle
  • MAF and throttle body contamination

Tech tips ✅

  • Inspect for cracks, hardening, or swelling every 60–90k miles
  • Replace clamps if weak; seat fully on both barbs
  • Use OEM-spec hose ID/OD for a true vacuum seal
