Why this part is needed
This crankcase breather/PCV hose keeps engine pressure in balance and routes blow‑by vapors back to the intake to be burned cleanly. It protects oil seals, stabilizes idle, reduces sludge, and helps the vehicle meet emissions. How it works
Under intake vacuum, the PCV system draws gases from the valve cover through this hose, meters them via the PCV valve, and feeds them into the intake stream. What happens if it’s broken
