Engine Crankcase Ventilation Valve for Toyota
This OEM-grade PCV valve assembly manages blow‑by gases and stabilizes crankcase pressure. It routes oil vapors back into the intake to be burned, keeping the engine clean, emissions low, and idle smooth. Using a quality ventilation valve protects seals, saves fuel, and helps the catalytic converter last longer. ♻️
Why you need it
Without proper ventilation, pressure builds inside the crankcase. That leads to oil leaks, sludge, fuel dilution, and failed emission tests. A healthy PCV system prevents moisture and acids from attacking internal parts and keeps performance consistent.
How it works
Inside is a spring‑loaded plunger that meters airflow between the valve cover and intake manifold. At idle (high vacuum) it restricts flow; under load it opens more. In a backfire it snaps shut to protect the engine and intake.
What happens if it’s broken ⚠️
Stuck open: vacuum leak, rough idle, lean codes, higher fuel use. Stuck closed: crankcase pressure, oil seepage, blue smoke, burnt‑oil smell, even popped seals. Long term, expect sludge, misfires, and catalyst damage.
