Engine Crankcase Ventilation Valve Assembly

This OE-grade PCV valve keeps your Toyota engine breathing right. It controls blow‑by gases from the crankcase, routing them back to the intake to burn cleanly. Result: stable idle, better fuel economy, reduced sludge, and lower emissions ♻️.

Why this part is needed

Modern engines create pressure and oily vapors under the pistons. Without a precise valve to meter that flow, oil contamination rises, seals are stressed, and performance drops. A healthy PCV system protects your oil, gaskets, catalytic converter, and wallet.

How it works

Under intake vacuum, a spring‑loaded pintle opens just enough to draw vapors out of the crankcase. At high load or backfire, the valve closes to prevent reverse flow. The calibrated orifice maintains the right mixture, balancing ventilation with fuel trim.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

Stuck open: rough idle, lean codes, higher fuel use, oil in intake, whistling. Stuck closed: crankcase pressure, oil leaks, sludge, dipstick puffing, burnt oil smell. Either way, expect poor drivability and a lit check engine light.

Install and care βœ…

Replace on a cool engine. Detach hose, unscrew valve, inspect grommet/hose, fit new unit, tighten per service data, reconnect, and clear codes. Inspect every 30–50k miles, sooner on dusty or short‑trip use.
