Engine Crankcase Ventilation Valve (PCV) — Genuine-Spec Replacement
This small but critical valve keeps your engine healthy by controlling crankcase fumes. It routes blow‑by vapors from the valve cover back into the intake to be burned, keeping oil clean, idle stable, and emissions low . A fresh, OE‑grade PCV valve helps prevent sludge, oil leaks, and poor fuel economy.
Why it’s needed
Engines create pressure and vapor inside the crankcase. Without the right metering, that pressure causes gasket leaks, dirty oil, and rough running. This part maintains correct vacuum balance and ventilation, protecting seals and keeping performance consistent.
How it works ⚙️
Inside is a spring‑loaded plunger with a calibrated orifice. At idle/high vacuum it partially opens to meter flow; under load it opens more; during a backfire it snaps shut to protect the intake. Heat‑resistant materials ensure steady flow and long life.

- Stuck open: lean mix, rough idle, whistle, higher fuel use
