Engine Oil Sump for Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero ️

This lower crankcase pan stores and cools the engine oil, keeping a steady supply for bearings, pistons, and valvetrain. It seals to the block with a gasket/RTV and uses internal baffles to control slosh on hills and rough roads. A drain plug makes service easy. Built to OE shape for proper pickup clearance and correct bolt pattern, it prevents leaks and ensures stable oil pressure.

Why this part is needed ️

Without a healthy sump, your Mitsubishi engine cannot maintain oil level or temperature. It shields the crank from road splash, holds the oil pump pickup in position, and helps the oil system run clean and quiet.

How it works

Oil returns by gravity from the galleries to the pan. The pump draws through the pickup screen inside the sump, then feeds pressure to the engine. Baffles and formed channels keep the pickup covered during braking, cornering, and off-road use.

If damaged or broken ⚠️

Expect wet spots, burning smell, low oil pressure light, lifter tick, and bearing knock. Leaks can reach the exhaust and smoke. Running low can seize the engine or damage the turbo. Replace a dented or corroded pan fast.

Install tips

Clean surfaces, use fresh sealant/gasket, torque bolts in a criss-cross pattern, and verify pickup-to-pan clearance and drain plug washer.
