Engine Oil Pan for Rugged SUVs ️

This heavy‑duty oil sump seals the bottom of the block, stores and cools engine lubricant, and supports the pickup tube. Built to OEM pattern for Mitsubishi body‑on‑frame 4x4s, it uses corrosion‑resistant metal, precise flanges, and a serviceable drain bung to keep pressure stable on highways and during steep off‑road climbs.

Why this part matters

Clean, contained oil is the life of your engine. A tight pan prevents leaks, aeration, and starvation so bearings, cams, and timing parts last longer. It also makes service easier with a reliable plug for fast, clean oil changes.

How it works

Oil returns by gravity into the pan, where internal baffles reduce slosh. The pump draws through the pickup, maintaining psi across revs. The pan dissipates heat to airflow and splash, helping viscosity stay in spec and reducing oxidation.

When the pan fails ⚠️

  • Oil spots under the SUV, burning smell, low level warning
  • Rattle at the pickup, pressure drop in corners or climbs
  • Overheated oil, bearing knock, and in worst cases engine seizure

Replace any dented, cracked, or stripped pan promptly; clean surfaces, use fresh sealant/gasket, and torque evenly to avoid warping.
