PCV Hose Assembly for Subaru Engines

This molded ventilation hose is built to handle hot oil vapor and manifold vacuum, keeping your Subaru boxer running clean, stable, and efficient. OE-style bends prevent kinks, while fuel‑ and oil‑resistant rubber resists hardening, cracking, and collapse. A fresh hose protects performance and emissions ♻️.

Why this part is needed ️

The Positive Crankcase Ventilation system pulls blow‑by gases from the crankcase and routes them back to the intake to be burned. This hose seals that path. A tight, leak‑free line reduces sludge, controls moisture, stabilizes idle, and protects catalytic converters.

How it works ⚙️

Under engine vacuum, gases flow from the cam/rocker cover through this hose to the PCV valve and intake. The molded geometry maintains correct vacuum and airflow. Heat‑rated material prevents soft collapse at high temps and holds shape under boost or decel.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

Cracks or softness cause vacuum leaks: rough idle, whistling, fuel trim codes (often lean), oil smell, higher oil use, and sludge. Severe leaks can trigger a check engine light, poor fuel economy, and failed emissions. A collapsed line can push oil past seals.

Tech notes ✅

Replace alongside the PCV valve, ensure snug connections, and route exactly as factory. If the old hose is hard or glossy, it’s time.
