PCV Breather Hose for Subaru Flat-Fours

Keep your Subaru’s crankcase ventilation healthy with this molded breather hose. It links the cam/rocker cover port to the intake/PCV circuit, maintaining calibrated vacuum and routing oil mist back to the engine for clean burn. Built to resist heat, oil, and ozone, its OEM-style bends ensure quick, drama-free fitment and factory routing. Ideal for restoring smooth idle, correct fuel trims, and long-term reliability. ♻️

Why you need it

The positive crankcase ventilation system reduces emissions, prevents sludge, and protects seals by controlling internal pressure. A tight, correct-diameter hose keeps unmetered air out, stabilizes idle, and protects the MAF and intake from oily blow-by.

How it works

At idle and cruise, manifold vacuum pulls vapors through the PCV valve and this hose into the intake to be burned. Under load, flow diverts toward the intake snorkel. The molded wall resists collapse, while the bore size preserves designed flow rate.

What happens if it’s broken

Cracks or soft spots cause vacuum leaks, rough idle, lean codes (P0171), oil smell, and increased consumption. Pressure spikes can weep gaskets and seals, while splits after the MAF may ingest dirt—accelerating wear and triggering a check engine light. ⚠️

Tech tips

Install on a warm engine for flexibility, reuse or replace clamps, inspect the PCV valve and grommets, keep hose off hot headers, then verify trims and idle; clear stored codes.
