PCV Hose Assembly for Subaru Engines 🔧
This OE-style crankcase ventilation hose keeps your Subaru breathing right. It links the rocker cover/breather port to the PCV valve and intake, carrying blow‑by gases back to the engine for clean burn. A healthy PCV line maintains stable idle, correct fuel trims, and protects seals and turbo hardware. Built to handle oil mist, heat, and vacuum, it prevents pressure build‑up and helps reduce sludge and moisture in the crankcase. 🚗
How it works 🛠️
Under manifold vacuum, vapors are pulled through the hose to the intake via the PCV valve. Under boost, the PCV valve limits reverse flow and the hose routes vapors toward the pre‑turbo inlet, keeping the charge system sealed. Molded bends ensure kink‑free flow and OE fit.
What happens if it fails ⚠️
Cracks or soft spots cause vacuum leaks: rough idle, whistling, oil smell, higher oil use, smoke, and lean codes (like P0171). Prolonged leaks can push out seals, foul the intake, and stress the turbo and catalytic converter.
Why replace
Restores manifold integrity, cuts oil mist in the intake, and keeps emissions in check. Replace brittle clamps, confirm PCV valve function, and seat connections fully for a leak‑free result.
