This precision bearing set supports the crankshaft inside the block, keeping perfect oil clearance for low friction, quiet running, and stable oil pressure. Itβs needed whenever you rebuild a motor, fix low oil pressure, or remove scored/worn shells. Fresh bearings restore correct geometry and protect the crank journals under heavy load.
How It Works
Semi-circular upper and lower shells lock into the block saddles and main caps. A tri-metal structure (steel back, copper/lead intermediate, soft overlay) forms a hydrodynamic oil film. Oil grooves and feed holes route pressurized oil to the crank and connecting rods. Correct sizing creates the needed oil wedge at every RPM.
