Engine Timing Belt β€” OEM grade for Mitsubishi ⛓️

Keep your Mitsubishi engine in precise sync with a high-spec cam belt (ref. 1145A019). Designed for harsh heat, dust, and towing loads, it delivers stable valve timing, smooth starts, and clean emissions.

Why this part is needed

The timing belt links the crankshaft and camshafts so valves open at the exact millisecond. Proper synchronization protects power, fuel economy, and the catalytic converter.

How it works ⏱️

A toothed HNBR belt with fiberglass cords wraps the crank sprocket, cam pulleys, tensioner, and idler (often the water pump, too). The precise tooth profile prevents slip, keeping valve timing locked even under heavy load.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

If the belt snaps or jumps teeth, interference engines can suffer piston-to-valve contact: bent valves, damaged guides, broken rockers, and possible head repair. The engine stalls and won’t restartβ€”repairs cost far more than timely replacement.

Symptoms and service tips

Replace at 90–100k km or 5 years (sooner in severe use). Watch for cracks, glazing, missing teeth, frayed edges, cold chirp, misfire, rough idle, or coolant/oil contamination near covers. Always renew belt, tensioner, idlers, and water pump together; set correct torque and belt tension, and hand-rotate two turns to verify timing.
