Camshaft Timing Belt for Mitsubishi SUVs and Pickups

This rugged timing belt keeps the crankshaft and camshaft in perfect sync ⏱️. It opens and closes valves at the right moment so the engine breathes well, runs smooth, and saves fuel. Made from heat‑resistant rubber with strong fiber cords and precise teeth, it is designed for long life in dusty, hot, off‑road use.

Why this part is needed

Correct valve timing gives clean starts, stable idle, full power, and low emissions. A fresh belt prevents misfires, backfires, and poor economy, and protects costly engine parts.

How it works

The crank sprocket drives the toothed belt, which turns the cam sprockets and, on some engines, the fuel pump. Tensioner and idlers keep the belt tight and centered βš™οΈ. Even one skipped tooth shifts timing and hurts performance.

What happens if it breaks

On interference engines a snapped belt can bend valves, mark pistons, or break rockers ❗ Repairs are expensive. Watch for whine or chirp, hard starting, loss of power, frayed edges, cracks, or oil on the belt.

When to replace and tips

Change by time and km, often 60–100k km or 4–6 years, sooner in harsh use. Always replace belt, tensioner, idlers, and water pump if driven by the belt. Align timing marks, set torque correctly, and check for leaks. Road‑test and recheck after the first heat cycle .
