Camshaft Timing Belt for Mitsubishi SUVs and Pickups

Why this part is needed
Correct valve timing gives clean starts, stable idle, full power, and low emissions. A fresh belt prevents misfires, backfires, and poor economy, and protects costly engine parts.
How it works
The crank sprocket drives the toothed belt, which turns the cam sprockets and, on some engines, the fuel pump. Tensioner and idlers keep the belt tight and centered βοΈ. Even one skipped tooth shifts timing and hurts performance.
What happens if it breaks
On interference engines a snapped belt can bend valves, mark pistons, or break rockers β Repairs are expensive. Watch for whine or chirp, hard starting, loss of power, frayed edges, cracks, or oil on the belt.
