Why this part is needed
At the back of the engine, this rigid housing holds the crankshaft rear oil seal perfectly centered and evenly clamped. Heat, age, or past seal jobs can warp or pit the mating face, causing stubborn oil leaks. Replacing the housing during a seal service restores alignment, stops driveway spots, and protects your clutch or torque converter from contamination. Great insurance after rebuilds or hard use.
How it works
