Engine Torque Mount Assembly
This mount keeps the powertrain steady when you accelerate, brake, or shift. It connects the engine/transmission to the subframe and controls twist. The result is smoother take-offs, cleaner gear changes, and fewer vibrations in the cabin. It also protects driveshafts, exhaust flex joints, and other mounts from excessive movement. β
How it works
A rigid alloy arm houses high-durometer rubber bushings. Under load, the bushings flex in a controlled way, absorbing torque pulses and then returning to center. This limits engine rock while allowing just enough movement to filter noise and harshness (NVH). Proper alignment keeps driveline angles correct and reduces wheel hop.
What happens if it fails β οΈ
Clunk on start/stop, harsh shift shock, steering shudder, and strong vibration at idle. You may see excessive engine movement, torn hoses, faster wear on other mounts, CV joints, or exhaust flex. Ignoring it can crack brackets and raise repair costs.
Build & Fitment
OE-grade elastomer, corrosion-resistant hardware, direct-bolt design. Replace in 30β60 minutes. Support the engine, align bolts finger-tight, then torque to spec at ride height for long bushing life.
