This kit restores lost compression, power, and smoothness after wear from high mileage, overheating, detonation, or cylinder scoring. Fresh piston, wrist (gudgeon) pin, and locks give a tight, quiet fit and stable combustion. Ideal during engine rebuilds or when oil use and blow-by rise.
How it works ⚙️
The piston travels in the cylinder, its rings seal combustion gases and control oil. The wrist pin links piston to connecting rod, pivoting thousands of times per minute to send explosion force to the crankshaft. Correct clearances, balanced weight, and low-friction skirt coating keep movement cool, quiet, and efficient.
When worn or broken ?️
Expect hard starts, weak pull, knocking, blue smoke, rising oil use, and poor fuel economy. Severe failure can seize the pin, score the bore, crack the crown, or throw a rod—risking block, turbo, and catalyst damage.
Install notes ?
Measure bore, hone/rebore if needed, fit new rings, set pin orientation, install new clips, and torque rod cap to spec. Always lubricate and keep parts surgically clean.
