How it works
A rubber–metal bushing bonds an elastomer core to a steel sleeve. When the engine twists under load or at idle, the tuned rubber absorbs movement and filters NVH. The metal shell locks into the subframe, while the inner sleeve clamps to the mount bracket. Correct durometer balances softness at idle with firm support during acceleration .
What happens if it’s broken
