This precision solenoid manages oil flow to the cam phaser in Subaru AVCS/VVT systems. It keeps valve timing accurate for smooth idle, strong mid‑range torque, and clean emissions. Why this part is needed
Clean, metered oil pressure is vital for variable valve timing. The solenoid directs oil to advance or retard the cam, improving fuel economy and response ⛽. Fresh oil and a healthy valve protect chains, guides, and cam gears from stress.
How it works
The ECU pulses the coil (PWM). An internal spool and fine mesh screen modulate oil to the cam phaser. The result: precise cam angle at every RPM for efficient combustion.
