Engine Oil Control Valve for Mitsubishi VVT
This precision valve manages oil flow to the cam phaser in Mitsubishi MIVEC systems. It keeps valve timing accurate for smooth power, clean emissions, and good fuel economy. Use it when idle is rough, acceleration is uneven, or the engine light appears with VVT timing codes. Fresh, responsive oil control restores torque and drivability .
How it works ⛽
An ECU-driven solenoid moves a spool inside the body. The spool meters pressurized oil to advance or retard the camshaft. Pulse-width control lets timing change in milliseconds. A fine screen protects the passages from debris, keeping the phaser and chain happy.
What if it fails ⚠️
Cam timing sticks or drifts. You may see poor low-end pull, hesitation, hard starting, high fuel use, ticking on cold start, or codes like P0011/P0012. Prolonged failure can increase chain and phaser wear and raise emissions. Replace the valve and change oil to prevent damage.
