Engine Oil Feed Control Valve (VVT/MIVEC) ?️

This precision valve directs pressurized oil to the cam phaser and top end, keeping timing and lubrication in balance. It is built for Mitsubishi engines that use variable valve timing. With clean routing of oil, the engine idles smooth, pulls strong, and meets emissions targets.

Why this part is needed

The valve meters oil to advance or retard the camshaft. That control boosts low‑rpm torque, high‑rpm power, and fuel economy. It also protects cam journals, lifters, and chain guides by maintaining stable oil flow under all temperatures.

How it works

The ECU sends a PWM signal to the solenoid. Inside, a spool slides to open and close oil ports, feeding the cam phaser or returning oil to the sump. A fine mesh screen traps debris. Correct sealing and fast response keep MIVEC timing accurate in milliseconds.

If the valve is faulty ⚠️

Expect rough idle, flat acceleration, higher fuel use, and a Check Engine light (common VVT codes). Cold-start rattle, cam phaser noise, and chain stretch risk can follow. In severe cases the engine may stall or run rich due to locked timing.

Tech tips ✅

Use the specified oil grade, change oil on time, and clean the oil gallery. Inspect the connector, replace the O‑ring, and perform VVT relearn after install.
